Jake, Paulina & Kevin, & 1992 Bachelor of the Year Part 1

Kevin asks Jake what his problem is, and Jake warns Kevin that Kevin is going to have big problems by the time Jake is through with him. Paulina rushes over to break up the argument. Then Amanda arrives with Matt and comes over to snag Kevin for some photos; Kevin and Matt are two of the three finalists in Sophisticate's Regional 1992 Bachelor of the Year contest. Amanda asks Paulina to help her with something, and Kevin and Matt follow the ladies. Jake stalks back to the bar, where Ada puts a pitcher of ice water in front of him and warns him that she'll pour it over his head if she has to. Amanda explains a bit about the photo shoot to Kevin and Matt, and then Matt asks who the third bachelor is. It's John, who arrives then with Jamie. Ada plays dumb when John asks her what Amanda wanted to talk with him about and sends him over to see Amanda. When he learns why Amanda called him to the Paradise, John initially balks at being in the Bachelor of the Year contest, saying he shouldn't qualify for it because he's a widower and he's not the type to be the Bachelor of the Year. Amanda says that he was nominated by the readers, and the editors chose him. Jamie teases that it probably started with all those nurses leaving notes in John's locker. Matt and Kevin tease John that if they have to put up with the adulation, so does he. John finally gives in, saying he has to get on with his life sometime and it might as well start now. Then Ada tells off Roger Jackson for not bothering to consult her before sending in a decorator, and they square off verbally before Jackson introduces her to a woman named Carmella that he's bringing in. OK...I am estatic that John is moving on with his life!!!!! Love to see Ada again of course standing up to Roger Jackson!! But Matt for bachelor of the year???
