Talk by Bill Colley, who has worked on the River Thames in London all his life. It's part of the Between the Locks oral history project to record the lives of people who've lived and worked on the Thames between Teddington Lock and Richmond Lock, and beyond.
See the Environment Trust website for more - www.environmenttrust.co.uk - or phone 020 8891 5455. The full video 37-minute video and a handsome travelling exhibition are available.
The project was carried out in 2009-2010 by the pupils of Christ's School, Richmond, led by Fiona Cosson, as part of the education programme by the Environment Trust for Richmond upon Thames. It was funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and the Hampton Fuel Allotment Charity. Special thanks to Hugh Capon of Linkvision, and Graham Skelton.
