String Improvisation Ensemble is perfect for beginning students who are interested in playing in a group setting that is not a traditional orchestra. Students still learn listening, accompanying, improvising and ensemble skills through use of popular and folk tunes. Natural learning process encourages students to learn music so well as not to need music when playing. Students perform concerts at the Center as well as at various venues in town, including appearances at the Contemporary Performer's Workshops concerts held at Weston Art Gallery - Aronoff Center - Downtown which feature professional soloists from Cincinnati Symphony, Dayton Philharmonic, Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra and Catacoustic Consort.
