The second of two hoop pines pulled down in Victoria Park on the morning of December 7, 2011.
The trees were brought down to make way for drainage works on the Legacy Way tunnel project.
Labor Councillor David Hinchliffe and Paul Crowther from TreeAlert claimed there had been no prior warning, and that the trees were over 100 years old and significant.
The Brisbane City Council disputes the age of the trees, and says there has been no secrecy.
Heart-breaking. All for a damned drain.
