This is me skydiving with a HD helmet cam, to take a video from my Point of View. Although it is absolutely nowhere close to capturing the real feeling of skydiving. All the flips, spins, rolls, downward corkscrew, and tracking (arms back, flying across the sky), are hard to differentiate from one another. But still a cool video. Everybody should experience this in person.

Watch in 720P if possible.

  • aviator147: Its located in Shelton, WA. And the altitude was 13,000 feet.

  • It is a gopro HD hero. It was shot in 720P 60fps mode, although youtube reduces the framerate down to 30fps.

  • I dream to make it one day...soon

  • Anyone who would like to do this but is scared of heights, be assured that surprisingly, a fear of heights is not relevant here. It doesn't feel like you are high because you have no objects like buildings near you, that stretch down to the ground.

It merely looks like a flat portrait painting.

For anyone concerned about a 'rollercoaster feeling', you don't get that either as shortly after exit, the relative wind rushing up at you makes you feel like you're lying on a cushion of air.

  • @123vonreich1 yes, you have to do a few tandem or auto deploy solo before you can do a solo freefall like you seen in this video... they want you to know what a skydive is like before your responsible for pulling your own chute release, otherwise people would be flying into the ground... first solo auto deploy is usually from 5000 feet, this was probably 12000-13000 feet and they pull chute at 5000

  • i did

  • question...do they set hight limits whaen you dive, cuz im planning on trying and i was just wondering if for your first time, they only take you to a certon hight

  • looks like it would be a blast.....but heights dont like me....lol not sure how I would do.....

  • man i want to go so bad but can someone who has actually went tell me how to actaully not be scared to jump and also is the feeling like on a roller coaster?

  • i hope this song plays in my head when i go in a couple of days

  • lol at 2:35 is that the same plane that you jumped from, landing?
