  • Do you find that as you overcome some of the more noticeable aspects of Autism your family members expect more of you and forget that you may still be really struggling in other areas?

  • @moviemakerwannabe I'm not really sure, but that is a good question.

  • @moviemakerwannabe Hello to you, Friend! I completely understand what you are expressing, and I think family members can show impatience like this whether we are challenged or not unfortunately. Have you considered a mentor whom you trust that could mediate communication between yourself and family members? It could keep you from becoming overwhelmed, and help them understand and appreciate your awesome milestones along the way. Just a thought. P.S: don't get down and work your own pace always:)

  • Hello to you, Arman! I really enjoyed this video, as it made me think quite seriously about outreaching resources and how they are presented. Outreaching is much like salesman ship. We are 'selling" a new concept to individuals in need of direction. The key lies in presentation. For instance: in stead of "coming out of denial", how about " Beautifully unique and talented individuals yet to be discovered"? The invitation must be positive rather than negative to draw followers with open minds :)!
