Video provided by Dennis Ward, coordinator of the Fernvale and Surrounding Region Action Group that was formed after the floods to represent the interests of flood affected local residents.
There has been little coverage of the floods in Fernvale on YouTube, possibly because most of the people who had their homes inundated lost their computer equipment.
Many residents of Fernvale were very hard hit by the floods with water coming first from local creeks in one direction and later from the Brisbane River in the opposite direction. Many residents found they were not covered by insurance and some are still unable to live in their homes (@July 2011)

We were living in a house to left of where this was shot, next to the rail trail. Most of this water come through our paddock and took out our driveway and alot of trees so we were stranded at home for days and could only access the driveway eventually by 4x4. wish my partners ex employers could see this video. They didnt believe fernvale was effected by the flood. And he lost his job because he couldnt get to work. Sorry about your house and cars
