I'm in 4 channel mode with the wireless going into one of the XLR inputs. I use Sennheiser mics and have never had an issue with hiss. Have you tried testing the mic with another device? That would be the first place to start. Then test the H4n with another mic. Good luck.

on the wireless lav mic, is that an omni-directional mic, or the cardioid mic?

What settings are you using on the Zoom H4n to get clear audio from the wireless lav?

I got a Shure wireless and have been picking up some hiss on the wireless lavalier. But I think it's because of settings on the Zoom, because the mic has gotten great reviews raving about no hissing.

So what settings on the Zoom H4n for no hiss?

Any tips would call for immediate internet high-5s.
