Steve Wozniak is a pioneer of the digital age, he was one of the three founders of Apple Computer, setting up in Steve Jobs' garage in 1976. Woz, as he is almost universally known, designed the hardware, circuit boards and operating system for the Apple I. After a plane crash in 1981, Wozniak played a reduced role at Apple, ending full time employment in 1987. Since then he's been a regular character on the technology scene, founding several tech companies working on remote controls, GPS technology, Lego robots and data storage among other things. He wrote his autobiography, iWoz: From Computer Geek to Cult Icon, in 2007 and continues to provide schools in his neighbourhood with funding, technical support and advice. Wozniak is a founder of the Electronic Frontier Foundation and the recipient of the National Medal of Technology, the Heinz Award, and numerous honorary doctorate degrees.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

Steve Wozniak is a wonderful person. I agree with him in almost everything.

But the most important question is - why he took piece of blank paper to the stage? :-))

Indeed he is passionate about everything. He stayed up 4 nights (and days) in a row building the first Apple 2, single handily bringing mankind into the Information Age. This man will have "Leonardo Da Vinci status" a hundred years from now or maybe higher. He certainly belongs to that selected category: Isaac Newton, Nicola Tesla, Stallman, Woz, Sagan, ...

The world needs Woz. The world needs us tech guys, who care about other people. I'm such a person, and I wanna dedicate my whole life and nothing less for it. I wish we'd drop the labels and work together, as we have the same goal, we just call it the other.

I would agree with you, that's the part where Job's character came in and things started to change.

And the reason why Wozniak isn't in apple, is probably because of Wozniak's moral views and ethics. Just my opinion which I put together with my collected information. Would like to ask himself about it.

They did make a great combination, just the credit part, feel woz could have got some more visibility and recognition. I wonder why he is not a part of apple

But I do have to admit that Wozniak is a genius and Jobs wouldn't be where he was, without him. Two bright minds to make a perfect company.

Only a sales man? You sure don't know much about this topic. Jobs was the one who created a product out of it, who made the first Apple computers available to everyone instead of Wozniak's idea of just giving them away to geeks who could build something on their own.

Those two guys made the perfect combination to make something incredible and with the help of other professinals to create Apple Computers Inc.

Furthermore, Jobs was also the man who took care of the design and user-friendly system
