I not saying this to be funny u have absolutely no skill in using that weapon You swung it like a 1st grade girl swings a lead baseball bat. I have cut door of of cars with a combat steel kwan dao and you barley mad it through a box. the blunt side can crack a shin bone with no effort on a back swing Rule #! never make a video with a martial art weapon you have no idea how to use.

@TheMHandDSfan I'm on Sword Forum International actually. But Guan Yu using a Guan Dao is inconsistent of what historians and archaeologists know about Han and Three Kingdoms weapons. I don't know what art you're talking about though because it only appears in illustrations during the Song. And depictions in art from the 3K, or even the Tang are non-existent. I'd like to read this thread though (some reason I can't find it). Could you send the link in a private message?
k so im confused. cold steel has a section of their site specifically for discontinued items
and this isnt there.

@yourlitlesister It was discontinued 5+ years ago.
Their stock has long ago sold out.

It seems cold steel doesn't know much about their weapons, that's actually a Dadao (also known as a Guandao, for it's association with Guan Yu, even though he used a spear.)
A Podao (Pudao is not the correct spelling), would have had a much longer blade and a shorter handle (about two feet in length).
It was an anti-cavalry weapon, typically used for chopping the legs of horses (since the rest of their bodies were armoured.)

Actually Cold Steel didn't call it that.
If you're right then you'll need to correct the entire internet as well as some books I own by Kung Fu Grand Masters.
Funny how how everybody but you says a Da Dao is the 2 handed chopper sword, Pu Dao is a glaive like in the video, and a Kwan Dao is what you're referring to to.
Maybe you're right, but do you mind stating your credentials / sources? You have a uphill battle establishing creds.
