The goal of this campaign was to promote LookSmart at the 2007 Search Engine Strategies Convention in New York City. The promotion involved the staging of a mock protest that began outside of the Convention on the sidewalk where GoMODELS (the "protesters") handed out branded "manifestos and buttons". They also chanted and marched with protest signs/ads, and a podium was set up on the side walk where 2 of the protest "leaders" gave speeches about LookSmart, and how it is cheaper and better than other search engine ad solutions. The protest then moved in a long procession to the interior of the convention, chanting and holding signs and handing out the branded material. A life-sized photo cut-out board where convention-goers could have their picture taken (with their head on the body of a branded strong man) was available too, and instant Polaroid photos were given to them in a branded picture frame. Overall the reaction from the crowd and public was great, they turned a lot of heads and put smiles on the faces of all who saw them.
