父女

(星島日報報道)慧儀要參加「六四燭光晚會」。

　　她相信「六四事件」並不是一場暴亂，而是學生爭取民主、反貪腐的運動。

　　慧儀的母親知道女兒要參加「六四燭光晚會」，立即緊皺眉頭：「慧儀，你參加那些活動，可能令爸爸不高興，你要知道他在內地有生意的，若開罪了中央領導，以後的日子便不好過，不如不去集會好麼？」

　　慧儀立即扳着臉說：「媽，你教我堅持原則，不為個人利益而動搖，可爸爸現在動搖了。」

　　媽媽立即為爸爸辯護：「當年對『六四』認識不深，爸爸才帶着我去遊行；現在認識深了，我們體諒國家也有其難處。爸爸回來，千萬別提『六四』或燭光晚會，給人家知道他的女兒出席燭光晚會，他一定非常生氣」

　　慧儀質問：「要求平反『六四』是件很正義的事件，為甚麼爸爸會反對呢？難道為了賺錢，可以埋沒良知麼？」

　　就在這時爸爸回來了，慧儀立即問：「爸爸，你怎麼看『六四事件』？」

　　他輕歎一聲說：「這是一場有學生參與的暴亂，幸好中央及時平定，不然國家可能四分五裂。都二十年了，還問這個幹甚麼？」

　　她搖頭說：「這兩年我看了不少關於『六四事件』的資料，大多數的資料顯示軍人曾開槍，坦克曾輾過學生的肢體這是事實啊！」

　　他不以為然：「你沒有經歷過當日的情況，何以那麼肯定？」

　　她機智地說：「爸爸，我們沒到過月球，卻知道月球表面是怎麼樣。你不能說我當年沒參與過，便不明白內情。」

　　他一臉不悅：「『六四』發生時，你還在媽媽腹裏，你憑甚麼要求『平反六四』？」

　　慧儀有點生氣：「憑我的良知和看書，我便掌握了六四事件的始末。爸爸，你當了議員，也用不着處處維護中央政府。我們欠的就是良知。」

　　他一再反對女兒參加集會，但女兒已二十歲，他只能據理力爭，愈近六四，兩人爭論愈烈。

　　最後，他說：「若要去晚會，便不要回來。」

　　慧儀輕咬下唇，頭也不回走了。

Twitter, Bing Banned in Beijing

You can't Bing in Beijing. Or Twitter in Tiananmen. No Hotmail in Hangzhou. No Flickr in Foshan.

Two days ahead of the twentieth anniversary of the protests in Tiananmen Square, China is cracking down on social networking and search sites. It's not by any stretch the first time China has limited computer access to (and from) the outside world. YouTube has been blocked for months, and Blogger.com was also taken off list of useable websites.

To be fair, Chinese internet users often use the local sites to chat, but Twitter has become hugely popular there, much in the same viral way it's become huge here. That has government officials worried, perhaps because while the local services are closely monitored, Twitter rips its tweets across the world faster than you can say "Where's Biz?"

Meanwhile, the beat goes on. China has long been known to be closed to the rise of the internet. The Information Center for Human Rights and Democracy -based in Hong Kong- says thousands of message boards on websites that have links to Universities have been shut down. That speaks volumes about a country that we thought might change its ways during the Olympics.

Perhaps not. It would be great to learn more about this, via some politically active, concerned Chinese citizen. Just don't expect to pick it up on your Twitter account. Or search for it on Bing. Or see the photos on Flickr.

他们都是大学生,都学过中国的历史. 5000年的君主制, 就凭他们几个学生就能改变历史? 未免也太天真了把. 我看64不要都让中国但当, 大部分还是哪些大学的无知所造成的. 到头来那个几个带头的怎么都不止踪影. 他们不怎么带头去堵天安门, 他们他们的"家" 操纵着哪些无辜的牺牲品, 他们就=下棋一样小兵先上,不行了他们再选择撤退.
