My old AquaClear 500 (Currently AquaClear 110) External Power Filter is almost 25 years old (from what I can remember)! It still runs like it is fresh from the box. Check out my review. Additionally I go under the hood of my 75 indoor Goldfish pond aquarium.

  • I thought goldfish were cold water species? I doubt heat causes too many problems, them being cold blooded and all, but why do you have a heater in there?

  • @Aleloh - They are, however I find that 76-78 or so degrees keeps them healthy, for me anyway. My fish room is in a cold basement, and I don't want too much fluctuation. Thanks for the comment!! :)

  • Holy cow! 2 25 year old filters! They are both more than twice my age! and do you think that tank is underfiltered?

  • @ben191209 - I do think the tank is underfiltered! :)

  • @fishforme2 HOW? YOU HAVE LIKE 500 GALLONS OF FILTRATION ON IT!!!

  • @ben191209 - I know ;) But its never enough for me. I like filtration as much as the tank! :)
