I know not whether it is pain or joy.
Sometimes I feel I am killed by suffering.
It would, however, be laughable

When I see Cloris beautiful eyes,
I feel a fire in my breast that,
at the same time, pleases and pains.
I feel my heart divided by fire and ice.

I will willingly seek out most dreadful deserts,
but I hear one of my thoughts saying,
Where is Cloris?
Well, who can tell me exactly what this madness means?
