Meet devious mischievous Diego, a Tri Blue Merle Husky mix hybrid male puppy. He was about 1 yr - 1 1/2 yrs old when he passed away from Parvo Virus (it was too late to save him and he was put down in mid December).
Diego's story/background:
I found Diego through a website called Kijiji and adopted him from a lovely family of a mother, daughter and aunt. Diego was born originally in Alaska bred out of racing sled dogs and was simply sold as an active family pet. He is an Alaskan Husky, Aussie (is where he gets his merle) x Husky, and small amount of wolf (from his great grand father.. as his great grand father was a wolf) as told by breeder and by owner, probably 5-15% is my guess.
Diego was a very hyper active dog and totally out of control when i had him. He had severe separation anxiety (red zone) but over all a pretty good boy, well not always because sometimes his Husky nature would appear more than his Aussie, i.e. he would be very independent. He loved to cuddle me and loved to be pat and walked a lot and generally did not like the presence of male dogs or people. He never bit or attacked anyone, and his best friend was Mocha, they really loved to play fight a lot in the house, which my dad did not like.
After Diego destroying several things in our house, expensive things too, my dad had decided if i was unable to "tame" him, i couldn't keep him. I did vigorous training when i wasn't working, i did lots of one on one but he wasn't motivated by anything so things got hard. I couldn't afford a dog crate and i knew no one in the neighbourhood who had one either. So when my dad had had enough it was time to bring him to the Humane Society to only find out 3 days later he had Parvo and was put down on the spot. They had e-mailed me telling me it was very severe, although hard to believe because he showed no signs but what could i do. The Humane Society did offer before his passing, that if he did find a suitable new home that they would ask the new owners if they could kindly stay in contact with me.
There's Diego's story, not much of a life for a 1 - 1 1/2 yrs old puppy who had so much potential for a Ski-jore partner, but i guess it was his time unfortunately. He is badly missed by me and my dog but i will never forget him, he was such a lovely handsome boy.
R.I.P. my little man.
I can definitely see some of the wolf... he's ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS. I'm really sad to hear he passed away :( At only 1.5 years old as well... Mocha and Diego are very very cute together.

@ronicdotlove thank you very much! He had wolf like traits compared to looks, again he is very little wolf though :) It is very sad indeed and it broke my heart to let him go, but he was such a good boy! My Labrador Mocha goes gaga whenever she sees a Husky with similar structure to Diego, it's really strange and still does it often since we have a couple of Huskies in the area... Huskies are the only dogs Mocha ever tries or even plays with!

@flaka561 aww thank you so much! This really warms my heart, thank you so kindly for the nice words. We truly were like a bird and a worm in the song. He truly had a beautiful soul despite having a very stubborn attitude. Thank you!
