Wow, I've been waiting for someone to make a robotech stop-motion video like this

To answer your question on how I did it, it was long hours in the editing process. In short, I took a picture of the figure, digitally remove the supports, cut the object out, adjusted the color and size, and pasted it onto a background for each frame. Add some trial and error since I was not sure how it would look in the final composition. So very time consuming!

Wait, did you actually paint that Quadlunrao figure by hand or did you paint it in a program, like Microsoft paint? Cause I have one too and it was like $80.

Well, I had to actually spray paint a 1/60 Yamato Que-Rau from red to dark green with Testor model paint. I repainted a Toynami VF-1A to match Max's blue/white paint scheme. Painting it on computer takes too long and just don't look as good or consistent. But painting the figures in real life also took some time and faith in not screwing up.
If you are thinking of painting your figures, Testor's website has videos on how to paint models/figures to look realistic.
