Too Good To Be True (JB love story) Ch.38

so sorry guys! i just had finals!

Everyone was sitting around the dining table in the main house; everyone except Gabby.
First Maddy and Mikhayla had come. Then Briana and Kevin, Olivia, and then Nick, Joe and Frankie.
"Hey, wheres Gabby?" Frankie had asked as he sat down.
Everybody looked at each other, but nobody knew the answer to that question.
"Nobodys seen her?" Joe asked.
"She was in bed when I went out," Briana shrugged, looking over at Kevin.
"Me too," Maddy said.
"She was gone when I woke up," Olivia said. "But we shouldnt worry too much; shes old enough to take care of herself, you know. She was probably just walking around the beach, and just lost track of time,"
"Yeah," Briana added, "Shes probably on her way here right now,"
"Youre right, Maddy smiled. It was so nice such a positive best friends. Everybody talked about their plans for the rest of the day while they waited for the food to arrive.
"You think we should go help prepare breakfast?" Nick had asked, but Mikhayla said no, and that they had a chef and waiters from the restaurant for that so it was fine.
After a few minutes, the door to the kitchen opened, and everybody turned to see.
It was quite a surprise to see who was coming out, holding trays of food, a few waiter-like people following behind Gabby.
"Gabby!" Maddy exclaimed. "There you are! Where you here the whole time?"
"Yeah," Gabby answered, laying the trays down on the table. "I was helping make breakfast,"
On the trays in front of everyone, were eggs and bacon, and a piece of toast with some kind of jam spread out on it.
Kevin had asked what jam it was, and one of the waiters answered that it was blueberry.
"Awesome!" Nick said, "I was just craving for some blueberry,"
"Its very mild," The waiter said. "The blueberries were picked fresh this morning, and Miss Gabby made them into jam just about an hour ago,"
Gabby blushed.
"Wow, Gabby!" Briana gushed. "It looks great!"
"Thanks," Gabby smiled sheepishly.
"Now, shall we dig in?" Joe asked. "This smells too good,"
Gabby giggled. "Be my guest,"
And with that, everybody bit into their breakfast. Gabby sat down in an open chair in between Frankie and Nick, and started to eat as well.
"The jam tastes really good, Gabby!" Frankie commented eagerly, with his mouth full.
"Thank you," Gabby giggled.
Nick bit into his piece of toast, and chewed. As he chewed, many thoughts ran through his head.
Should I tell her about yesterday? Or not? It would probably be a really bad idea. But what kind of a boyfriend would keep something like that a secret? But telling would hurt Gabby. But her finding out from someone other than me would probably hurt her more
"How is it?" Gabby asked, cutting Nick off his thoughts.
Nick swallowed the remaining toast in his mouth, and answered, "Its really good! You have to make more and put it in a bin for me so I can take some home,"
"Thats good to hear," Gabby smiled. "Cause I made it for you,"
Oh, great! Nick thought. My girlfriend is awesome! Really, what kind of a boyfriend would I be if I didnt tell her all the important things that happen in my life? Especially when they have so much to do with Gabby herself!
Thats so sweet, Nick smiled, and kissed Gabby on the cheek,
"I like you so much, Nick," Gabby whispered, as she took his hand and squeezed it.
And with that, Nick knew he had to tell her.
