You may want to inform people that this is only a temp fix that should only be done in an emergency (you need to print but don't have a spare toner). These machines change the BIAS high voltage depending on how much toner is in the cartridge. If the wrong voltage is used for an extended period you can end up damaging the drum and/or getting poor print results. Also, if the machine is under warranty and you have a print related problem it may not be covered.
Since you don't know why Brother leaves a little toner in the cartridge at the end of life, how can you sit there telling us they're ripping people off? Really, you have no clue.

Great advice. sad that Brother rips people off by saying that the ink is empty when in fact there is a lot still in the cartrage.
