This is Live vocals, Studio version has an overdub with a Vocoder. Search for vocoder on wikipedia too find out. It's what daft punk uses for their vocal sounds, only they use it 100% wet. aly & Aj use about 50/50 vocoder/dry vocals on the record. Also do they use an automated pitch shifter, perfectly quantised on the beat, so they can make the big jumps in pitch perfect.
And they sing good on here live, imo one of the better live singing pop stars.
