HAHA! This is awesome! But what do you mean, Carl Orff's "adaptation" of "O Fortuna"? Carl Orff is the original composer.

The original "O Fortuna" was a poem from the "Carmina Burana," which was a 13th century manuscript filled with Latin poems. Carl Orff took this text and created a cantata from it. He is the original composer of the song, though. You're right there. I was just saying that he adapted the original poems for his music.

Carl Orff also adapted his own "Carmina Burana" work from the original organization of musical poems, also called "Carmina Burana". The poem "O Fortuna" is not included in this. In all the CDs I find of the original, it says "Carmina Burana, 13th Century manuscripts" with composer "anonymous". It does have the original "In taberna quando sumus", though.

I can't honestly claim to know what I'm talking about here. I'm just running with what Wikipedia tells me. According to the "O Fortuna" page, it was one of the poems in the original "Carmina Burana." There is a good chance that I'm completely wrong though.
At the end of the day, I'm just really glad someone watched the movie and cared enough to comment. Thanks!
