Pat Buchanan Wants To Ban Online Poker

Watch political experts poke at Pat as he tries to defend a republican agenda that would focus on so called family values like banning online poker, and ignore the real issues facing this country exposed by Katrina, Iraq build up or NSA scandal. This agenda-- as is pointed out in the clip -- would help turn out Republican base in 2006. What makes the legislation hypocritical is the online gambling bill would actually legalize horse racing bets placed online not ban all online gambling.

I don't support this ban. 1. You can't stop it, for every one taken down, another 10 pops up. we are failing as much as this war against online gambling as much as we failed at the Vietnam war. 2. how can we track it? 3. these casino owners need to stop whining about these online gambling sites, one, we are "supposedly" capitalist. which means competition is allowed. these casino owners are soiling the very FOUNDATION of the US constitution.

The problem with online gambling is the lack of tax revenue it generates for the countries of the players. As anyone who goes broke gambling generally becomes a financial burden to the state, then I fully understand (and support) the US ban.

The US govt. allows its people more freedom (including the right to defend themselves) than any other country. I don't think a govt. that values individual freedom and liberty so highly would impose this ban without good reason.

i make my income from online poker,as that being said that money is being put into the economy when i spend money for normal living expences sure there are ppl who lose money but that dosent mean ppl like me who make the majority of there income from this should be punished
