@turbomoore Artistic talent is not inborn. There is nothing more or less intuitive about chemistry than art-making. The discovery of Benzene rings springs to mind. Yes, you can become an artist tomorrow with no education. But...how good an artist? I bake on a regular basis and I need to know a lot of chemistry in order to make baked goods consistently edible. I didn't go to school for that. Being a GOOD artist takes work. Lots of hard work and training. "Talent" is an overrated myth.
