Dozens of Yemenis were killed in battles overnight between Wednesday and Thursday in the capital of Sanaa as fighting aimed at ending the Yemen president Ali Abdullah Saleh's 30-year-rule intensified.
At least 28 people were killed in an explosion at an arms storage area, according to a government official.
Hundreds are fleeing the area hoping to escape the deadly violence.
The chief of Yemen's Hashed tribe, Sheikh Sadiq al-Ahmar, has called on Arab and global powers to force Saleh out before the country is plunged into civil war.

Whats wrong with these people in the middle east.What for this uprising.What short of govt people of middle east are asking for other then the one they have.Try to declare one self as alternate leader that persons and his whole family life will be snuffed of.Now everyone in the street cannot run a country nor you people can have hundred leader at one go .Then whats going on.Are people in middle east to become Taliban lock stock and barrel and get into prehistoric age or stone age with guns
