what if you wanna come out of 8 ohm speaker output , INTO a line level? lets say your output device has no line level output ???

@seaninlou68 A 8 ohm to 1k ohm transformer may be good. A direct hook up will also work.

My attenuation cable is starting to get worn, because it's starting to disconnect, even though all the connections are all firmly secured in their jacks...

The wires inside the insulation are probably fraying inside. All the twists and turns near where it goes to the jacks likely make it happen.
