@youmazdatube in the 19th century a series of massacres in Iran ordered by mullahs took place because they discovered that most areas did not have mosques and still were celebrating zoroastrian traditions. Nowruz is the zoroastrian new years which is celebrated as a national holiday in Iran, along with Charchanbe Suri which is also a zoroastrian fire celebration that still takes place on a national scale in Iran. 50 years ago, they use to celebrate Sadeh, another zoroastrian festival.

@youmazdatube your wrong to assume that zoroastrians in Iran are not in touch with zoroastriansm, we still have a fire that the muslims never extinguished in Chak Chak, Yazd. There are 3 great fires in Yazd, Iran right now (much like Achaemenid Persia) though fire towers and temples that are no longer in use are treasured throughout Iran. Zoroastrians assume that no other knows much about their religion and they water down the substance and simply put it.
