Apologies for the quality of this piece which is a second-generation copy from German TV.
This programme has bittersweet memories for me as this was the last piece I saw John skate. I was only to meet him again one more time, a few months later.
Farewell, John, and thank you for so many wonderful memories.

  • The arm position change in the opening camel is my favorite...David Liu had a similar camel, probaly inspired by John Curry, as JoJo Starbuck was David's coach.

  • I didn't know that about David Liu, though i have seen his version of 'After All' here on youtube.

That change of arm psotion on the camel was one of John's characterisitic moves, but to my annoyance the camera often zoomed in so you didn't get the full view of it.

  • So perfect. Thank you so much for sharing this with us.

  • David Liu's Albertville 1992 program shows it off...similar to John's, I think you'd agree...and if you do watch it, also check out the double axel in the same program...one of the prettiest ever executed

  • I discovered this for Christmas!

    What a breathtakingly beautiful routine!

You are so fortunate to have seen John Curry live and to have actually met him!

I am so grateful to you for sharing your John Curry videos! At least I am able to see him on YouTube. How much would I give to have seen him in person!

  • This is brilliant! His skating was beautiful and without alot of the meaningless jumps that can take up space. He still had that wonderful sense of lines, edges, and hand positions! Thanks for this video and THANK YOU JOHN CURRY FOR YOUR MAGIC!

  • This is brilliant footage! I had never seen it before. His skating was brilliant and without alot of meaningless jumps. The technique was wonderful. Thanks for the memories!

  • My goodness; no apology necessary!

    It is glorious!

I have to confess that I had never heard of this program, much less seen it.

Thank you so very much for sharing this with us
