*New - Remake of original tutorial with the same title*
The first video of a series on how to model a design in Google Sketchup. This series is aimed toward landscape architects.
By the end of this video you will be able to:
1. Import a reference image into Sketchup
2. Scale the image to real world scale
3. Have the drawing ready to start modeling
@Amortox I've studied with someone who is great with AD markers, so I'll see if he'll be up for making a hand-rendering tutorial sometime soon. Keep an eye out for it)

how do you color your drawings?
Amortox 4 weeks ago in playlist Just the Basics - SketchUp For Landscape Architects
@017524062 In the Just the Basics playlist, I have "Just the Basics 1.5..." that explains how to do the method you described. This example is just an alternative method but also its on how to scale individual items or groups without rescaling the whole item. The tape measure tool rescales every single item or group within your whole item.

A better way to rescale your model: simply use your tapemeasure tool on your reference distance and then enter 70' into the length box at the bottom right of your screen . A dialog box pops up asking whether you want to rescale the model - click yes. Voila. Very quick - no calculations needed.
