  • @crowbarftw YES! RAW AND EVIIIL!!!!!!!

  • if venom came up with the term black metal to describe their music then they are black metal. the only black metal bands are venom, bathory and hellhammer/celtic frost. all those norwegian bands should have called themselves something else because they're not black metal, that's like saying possessed aren't death metal because death metal is heavier nowadays, it just doesn't make sense

  • HELLHAMMER.(now celtic frost) was awesome they shouldhave kept the name but tom warrior thought that hellhammer was such a cheesy album talentwise he changed the name to celticfrost which is cool . .anyhows

  • H E L LH A M M E R: Thomas Gabriel Fischer or Tom Warrior or "Satanic Slaughter", Martin Ain or "Slayed Necros" and Bruce Day or "Denial Fiend" or "Bloodhunter"

  • @meslayerdeth Not even the lyrics but in terms of riffage and atmosphere it disses out. First Wave Black creates that evil feel that Death Metal couldn't do, People would tend to call that album thrash just because of the Hardcore and Speed Metal riffs but Black Metal Is made up of 40% 80's Hardcore "Amebix" 30's Speed, and some bands had NWOBHM influences live Mercyful, Fate Bulldozuer, Early Onslaught, and you already know Venom's Welcome to hell and "Black Metal.

  • @666deathghost lyrically it was more black than death and quality wise it was as well but it's considered death metal in general and considered the first death metal album, i would say it's kind of a combination of both to be honest but who cares either way, it's a brilliant album

  • Slayer's earlier stuff were black metalish if you compare them with Venom Early Sodom, Bulldozer, Early Onslaught etc... and if you compare some todays "Blackened Thrash" you'll see that most of those bands like Trench Hell, Apocalyptic Raids, Devastator,Cruel Force, Old, Grave Desecrator, Blasphemophagher, Nocturnal Blood don't belong in the fusion genre category. Blackened Thrash was formed in the mid 90's but some of the today's "Blackened Thrash has 80's sound and not the mid 90's sound.

  • @meslayerdeth Seven Churches was more Black Metal than Death trust me

  • @lardlizard No Venom was

  • @meslayerdeth I agree

  • @SLAYERMETALLICA357 yeah, exactly, not that i dislike the early norwegian bands such as mayhem, burzum, darkthrone etc. because i do really like those bands but, as you say, they aren't black metal
