  • Yo does yours make a whistling sound whenever you accelerate from stop to go? I got an injen CAI but altered it into a Short ram since it's been rainin' here in Jersey, and my friends here really here the whistling noise coming from the throttle body, like the butterfly cover opens up and makes a whistling sound like a turbo for a short moment!

  • Yes it does make a whistling sound. Its because of the air that is flowing into the intake. Whistle with your mouth but blow in and compair it with the intake.

  • @BringTheFuckinRuckus Thats what I figured. I used to have a cold air intake on a car previous to my Camry and it made a difference.

  • @ripsnorting13 piping doesnt matter much, filter placement and airflow are the biggest factors.

some people say that the after market pipes are smooth on the inside which allows better airflow but i doubt that makes anything worthwhile.

  • @asdddddf wtf?

  • did you have to take off the front bumper to install yours?

  • Correct me if im wrong but i think the only really thing that dam matters in an intake is the stupid filter. Not the piping? Ive looked at so many and im going to get one for a scion and cut it a bit short for my 2002 camry. same engine and all.

  • nice i am going 2 put that on my 2010 scion tc how much yu payed 4 that i got hks exhaust

  • @galindorsx2004

Scion tC with Stock TRD Supercharger:

    *200 hp@wheels / 185 ft·lbf with TRD Supercharger

    *Torque: 163 ft·lbf (120 N·m)@ 4,000 rpm (all MYs)

    RSX Type-S:

    2002-2004 Type-S * Maximum power: 200hp @ 7800 rpm * Maximum torque: 143 lbf·ft @ 7000 rpm

They both cost about the same except the tC has more torque.

  • @terrysan so in other words they put a supercharger on what be a base type rsx. By the way a supercharger is a volt on ivtec is a cam. can't compare volt -on to what is stock engine trd had no other choice but to add volt-ons. next time you want to compare check out the specs first

  • @galindorsx2004

It's true that a Stock RSX type S is running 200hp but just how many of those do you see around compared to a regular RSX?

Now if you compare the Scion TC to a regular RSX, they are both running 160HP stock.

You can't possible compare a regular Scion TC to an RSX type S because the S model has more performance.

HOW ABOUT YOU COMPARE the Scion TC TRD Supercharged to the RSX TYPE S? Since Scion TCs also come super charged, stock. Now stfu.

  • tc only has 160 hp rsx type s has 200hp loser rsxs kills
