He didn't know the child was going to do that and I personally think that the parent was careless with the child.
I'll tell you what I do know vs. what I can only speculate however...
I would never let my child run into something which could potentially hurt them as eg. if a breakdance is going on, I wouldn't let them run in.
I feel sorry for the child, but moreso for those who take this video way overboard.
