  • Hi, I am a student. And i was wondering if i could use these DOE on a material that needs to total up to a 100%. like for example. A, B and C; since u have a low setting meaning everything will not get up to 100% and vice versa. if A is 50 . B is 5 and C is 20 I can't used it as (A+B=C)=100% so am i still able to use to DOE to present for my presentation in 2 months time?

  • @Nauttos You need what is called a "mixture design" An ordinary DOE will not work when the components of the mixture must always equal 100%. I do not have any video instructions on this part of DOE.

  • QED by Design by Thomas Barker is my first reference of DOE, I have the second edition too, not yet the third , plus the QOD by Design, I met Tom in a seminar in RIT a decade ago?..and listen to him again, make me feel happy he is still doing what he loves, doing DOE everywhere and finding different ways to share with the public his fabulous experience and knowledge , classical DoE and Taguchi approach sinthetized by him is highly recommended.

  • @dantealopez Dante,

So wonderful to hear from you! I still remember you in the first row of the seminar and your companion, Perfecto. The best part of hearing form you is that you are still using DOE. I am sorry to report that Bob Evans, who arranged the seminars at TRW went on to Pella Window Company, but is now unemployed due to the slowing of the building industry. Let's keep in touch.
