I've decided to upload some videos of Natalie's performances, even though they already are on YouTube, but with english subtitles, because when I'm watching an opera, I'd rather like to know what's going on. So there it is. If you want me to add different subtitles, just tell me, I'll see what I can do.

It is a modern mistaken idea that opera singers need to employ realism in their acting, like Hollywood stars do. I have this DVD of Manon, and it is evident that the vulgar stage director is under the same illusion, and is foisting it on the singers.

Wow, such grace. I really need to wait on doing pieces like this until I can sing these passages with more ease. Too many people butchering fine music because they do what's beyond them. I can't wait till I can have that kind of line. awesome singing.

I don't know why you would say this is poor. Villazon, though through his vocal problems has always put on a good show. I was drawn in to this performance. and his humbless and gratefulness for the stage always shows when he performs

Sometimes his acting is very hammy but here I was impressed.
