Over the past 15 years, many U.S. and Canadian college campuses have asked famed pioneer of the Supercomputer and Internet, Philip Emeagwali, to speak on Africa Night, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and during Black History Month.
Last year, he delivered a dozen high-profile keynote addresses at colleges and high-tech conferences around the United States. His speeches can be found on YouTube and are known to provoke an avalanche of commentary and debates on blogs, in newspapers and magazine articles, and in letters to editors around the world.

Hello....? This sounds to close for comfort. I believe this is invented out of fear. We need to know when to stop. He is like the black man in The Terminator who invented the hand that ultimately led to the technology that but humans at risk. Micheal Jackson (This It DVD) said we have 4 years to get it right or it will be too late. Wake up!

We African American who mostly descended from Igbos are very proud of Phillip Emeagwali. It's time that we start reversing the brain drain and lend our inventions to better mother African. Good job Phillip!!

There was just no way Emeagwali may have dropped out of school because his parents could not pay his tuition. Keep in mind that his parents were civil servants in Akure before the Nigeria war, and that was a middle class family.Though it is difficult to verify who got conscripted during the war, something just tells me he was not drafted into the war. There were still skeletal education services during the war.Education was not completely shut down in Biafra during the crisis.
