Japs are still upset they didn't get to rule the world with the Germans.

Well, if its all the same to you, I don't appreciate the ship I served on and called home for so many years going and staying on in Japan. I want her back on the east coast.

I really enjoyed my time in the Navy at Yokosuka, I found the people to be very nice and I would love to visit Japan again.

Not making light of the bombing in nagasaki and hiroshima but I'm from Hawaii, they bombed the crap out of my home, but yet when they come to our state we don't treat them like crap. Not to say they are rude, but can make you feel very unwelcome sometimes outside the gates.

hey dickhead, im serving onboard that piece of shit, so that gives me the fiucking right to call it a piece of shit.

that ship u call shit , protects your ass every day. dickhead.
This is highly political matter. Big people like Obama, Gates or Japan's minister or beaucrats to decide whether to let the ship stay or leave. You just keep working on what to do. I don't even blame pilots who dropped atomic bombs in Hiroshima and Nagasaki because they did what they were ordered to do, just like pilots who bombed Pearl Harbour. I understand it is very difficult time for you. Just don't worry and enjoy staying in Japan.

my husband is on it and I was less than thrilled to learn we were coming to Japan for our next duty station. The thing that gets me is they hate it so much yet when the gates open up they come in herds to get on it. Crowding up the base, making our spouses work weekends so they can have their little show, for a ship they don't even want here...so my thing is if you don't want it here and it's so unsafe, then why keep coming on it?

Curiosity, I think. Or some of them might be spying. I took my gaiger counter to the base but it was rejected at the gate.
