My dad past away when 9 days after my 16th birthday, I remember his singig this song when we went Christmas Shopping that December....Love the song, but makes me cry EVERY time I hear it...

I enjoy Ronnie Milsaps Beautiful music..This is true music to listen to and enjoy. my favorite is "lost in the 50's" love the opening verse close your eyes baby!!

Too me, this just may be the prettiest song ever made. To someone who grew up in the fifties, such as I did, this is just fanastic. A great remake of "In the Still of the Night", Ronnie, you are one of the all-time greats.

sitting in a bar on kereoke night on a saturday night listeining to all these horrible drunk fucks sing.. all of a sudden this eldery worman walks up to the mic and they announce shes singing a ronnie milsap song im like wtf is this.....it was one of the most beautiful voices i have ever heard and my life..not only did i get goosebumps it almost brought a tear to my eye with the extravagence and soul in her voice... one of my most beloved airforce memories..
i love the music of the fiftie despite being born in the nineties, and the crap my friends listen to is terrible.

ah the memories...me....him....45 yrs ago, Pasadena, Ca, '57 chevy, oldies on the radio, raindrops on the windshield shimmering from streetlights, my head on his shoulder, the smell of his jacket.............*sigh* Why does time go so fast?
