Cmmonly known as larping yes. Many of us call it Medieval reanactment however it's spelt. the roleplaying aspect is still present, but is often seperated from the big fights such as this. This is more of a go out, kick ass with your team and take names.

@13graffwriter Saying Amtgard is a sport is like saying graffiti is art. Most people won't agree with you, but there are a lot that do agree. Hopyfully that clears it up a little. Also, an opinion you are basing on amtgard is that of much people base on LARPs. But comparing amtgard to other larps is like comparing the NBA to the Globetrotters.
