A video of Barbaro's fateful Preakness to the sounds of 'Fix You' by Coldplay.

(do not, under any circumstances, redistribute this and take credit for it. i will hunt you down. thanks. :])

**NOTE: I would greatly appreciate it if a huge argument/dispute did not erupt in the comments. All of your opinions are valued and warranted, but this video was made in memoriam of Barbaro and his heart and not as a topic for debate.
If arguments continue to break out, comments will be disabled.
Thanks for watching! :)

I hope it's ok I shared it.. It's made me cry my eyes out all night, I hope it's ok, what a powerful and amazing work of art you made... thank you so much. I could care less who won yesterday, this has dominated me since last night. What an amazing animal,, and oh God, the pain Michael endured, it was absolutely perfect.

Correction, just to get the facts straight: Man O' War did not win the Triple Crown and certainly was not the first to do so. In 1919 Sir Barton won the Kentucky derby, Preakness, and Belmont consecutively; however it was only until after was he named the first Triple Crown Winner as those races were not originally inter-related. In 1920 (Man O' War's 3 yr old season) he was not entered into the Kentucky Derby at all due to his owner's disdain for Kentucky racing, but won the other two jewels.

See the owner rush to the track when his wife saw the horse? See the jockey almost in tears??? Please people. Until you know and have seen what goes on behind the curtain. Dont hate on this sport because people do care. Poor boy was upset and confused when all of a sudden he couldn't run anymore.

Terrible what happened to that horse. He was great. I actually shed a tear when they had to put him down. He was a true champion and such a good looking animal.

The most epic leg-breaks in sporting history: this and napoleon mccallum's.

This clip is missing the early break.

also, with barbaro; I don't believ they thought anything else was wrong. Originally it was a fracture of the leg. Thats why he is lifting it so much. later they found out he had something else that caused him to feel off the day of the race, and had to put him down.

the difference is that Barbaro is a direct descendant to the first horse to win the triple crown : Man O' War. i believe for the owner's it was a great shock that such a terrible accident could occur. And i see where you are coming from, being a show jumper myself; the horse I looked up to as God-like (Hickstead) died of a sudden heart attack last year at the masters. but I was very happy to hear , Lamaze will continue to ride and be at the 2012 olympics.
