I had the Sega CD version as a kid.

i had the megadrive (pal uk) version as a kid and still do now. alot must've been different to the US version cus alot of what u said about the genesis version wasnt true.....but ive never played the ntsc US version.

All the Sega versons of MK 1 (Genesis, CD, Game Gear, and Master System) all had the blood or blood codes in them. Nintendo wimped out and didn't put any of the gore in and changed some of the fatalities, after that Nintendo swore never to be outgored again in terms of MK.

I wonder why the original Arcade Game wasn't included as a bonus feature in the new Mortal Kombat

The Genesis version was the best. Solid gameplay, music better than the arcade. SNES gameplay was awful, just kill the port. Not having blood only worses it even more.

we will never have another commercial like that for a game for as long as im alive man you got to love th 90s :)
