You have asked several different questions here. War has a purpose but should ONLY be used as a last resort. This is a social, moral, and economical imperative. Peace IS ideal, as it is written "blessed are the peace makers." Violence should be used to defend and protect, NOT for revenge or preemptive attacks. No one prospers under war, we need to at least try and achieve peace.

It has nothing to do with "liberal intelligence" or anything of the sort. Have you been to Iraq or Afghanistan? Having served in the military, I can say that almost everyone of my conservative friends I deployed with to Iraq went away being as disillusioned with the war and wars in general as me. It's easy to talk about how great and noble wars are from the sidelines but until you actually experience it, you don't really know what you're talking about.
