Published on Apr 16, 2012

On April 16, 2012 at around 17:45 UT (1:45 EDT) a M1.7 flare peaked. This flare originated from an active region just about to come over the eastern limb of the Sun. On April 15 this area produced another large coronal mass ejection. Neither eruptions appear to be Earth directed - however, this active region might have some future events in store.

If scientist's could get a better understanding of the Energy emitted from other Galaxies, perhaps we could harness that energy as a more sustainable fuel source. Creating "Energy Capture Modules" launched from the Spacestation and controlled by Remote, might offer us an Insight into the future.

Wow, that was insanely fast. Could you provide an estimate on the speed of these flares?
