@twirlerkj its seems 'mascot' can meen all different things as where i do majorettes, there is always one mascot and they basically get marked like the leader/drum!! funny, eh?
-
@hbaker77 This is a proper majorette troupe.. that are amazing twirlers. This is england version of majorettes.
-
@lorwaaaaaa ok. Chard use them as the new ones thats why i thought all troupes did it. :)

We normally use 'mascots' as stand ins. Say if a girl is away for a comp we select somebody to take their place then normally mascot them. Different troupes use them in different ways :)

People seem to be confusing American & other countries style of majorettes/baton twirling to the UK/Englands style of majorettes. 'We' use ALL kinds of equipment for routines (batons, mace, pom poms, ribbon, wheel..), aswell as different styles of marching, leadership, groups (senior etc). Please don't pre-judge on the knowledge you only know from your country.

@hbaker77 A third world country? WTF? You are so disrespectful... :@

@hbaker77 These are MAJORETTES. Im a majorette and a dancer. when i dance we dont use poms but in majorettes we do as they are called pom routines.

@hbaker77 This is how majorettes in England dance. I was up against this team and they are really nice girls. We also do this kind of majorettes its called Dance catorgry on majorettes. and i think they even won with this routine if i remember rightly. Our troupe do the same. You are thinking f milatry majorettes that just march around. yes some troupes do that but not all troupes.
I love this dance so much tbh. <3
