  • I wish people would speak for themselves. If MJ doesn't help you then don't use it. I am 50 and have bipolar disorder. MJ is an absolute wonder to me. It calms my manic phase and it also raises me out of my depression.....quickly I might add. The pharmaceuticals do not work for me and cause nausea, headaches, and insomnia. I average 3 puffs per day depending on the strength of the MJ. It may not be for everyone who is bipolar, but is a miracle drug for me.

  • My husband went off of Marijuana and started on Depakote, Sevral months later, he was so depressed, the only thing he did was sleep and he said he wanted to kill himself so many times but he didn't have the energy. Every time he talked to his doctor they just upped the Depakote more to the point where he was a zombie and he doesn't even remember the months that he took them. He now smokes pot again and he has been calm and fine. He still needs counceling but at least he isn't suicidal and crazy.

  • @MrSavagerocks Wow, you're so intelligent!

  • It's simple, really. Only those who NEED it like it. If you need it, do it. If it works for you, that's great. But if you DON'T need it, don't start. You will disrupt whatever decent brain chemistry you have, and it's not a good thing to do that. Also, smoking weed causes spacial distortions, so, like alcohol and other drugs, don't smoke and drive. When cannabis becames legally approved, new laws concerning vehicle operation will be in effect. You will still get DUIs.

  • Weed helps with my bipolar 2. I wouldnt be here still had i not been introduced to all psychedelic plants and their virtues

  • I tried to understand this but theres too many big words. So is she saying weed helps or doesnt help symptoms of bipolar disorder?

  • Are the neurological scans of the patients with or without psychiatric drugs? If they are with psychiatric drugs, well than this similarity is fairly explainable. Personally, i would like to see the same demonstration done on a control subject, one taking psychiatric drugs, one not taking psychiatric drugs, as well as one only using marijuana.

  • @AZRedMo Grow up you pussy. Dopehead.

  • If I smoke too much , I'll get paranoid and a little bumbed out but that only lasts for 15min then everything is mellow.
