@oldcoot55 you got that right Scott Simon could out rock Jerry Lee in any contest. lets face it these guys could do the covers as good and sometimes better than the originals. Gave some of them having them as guests a new lease!

This song was the title of a 50s teen movie. Jerry Lee performed the song in the movie. He recut it for Smash, and later for the Great Balls of Fire soundtrack. That last version appeared in a scene where Jerry Lee picks up Myra at school. This remake was one of the few where you could hear his age.

To me, Scott Simon always managed to out-Jerry Lee the real thing. I know its just a copy, but it sure is a magnificent copy. By the way, the song is called High School Confidential and its one of my favorites " From The Streets Of New York"
