Where Daft Punk got their samples from

http://www.musicthing.co.uk Here's where the samples on some of my favourite Daft Punk tracks came from. It's all legit, paid in full, above board. Still strange to hear, though. The samples were s...

this video is very misleading. the samples that daft punk used were very small and were only various words or few second clips. none of those songs listed sound anything like the daft punk songs, and anyone who listens to them will indeed notice a few seconds here or there that they recognize. this video only slows down the daft punk song when they mention the sampled song. daft punk is still incredibly original.

I love Daft Punk, but these facts seriously have to be more widly known than they are today. There are no DJ's in the world who are more famous than Daft Punk, and many are listening to their songs just like they would listen to the average rock band, no remixes or live recordings, just plain album versions. I bet many listeners, including me, aren't aware that they're actually samplers like every dj, and it was actually quite a shock to see this. Thanks for opening the eyes of 2.5 mil people!
