The words we use that describe God really doesnt matter. (Not including curses and such) If I say "Awesome God" and to me that means the most high God. Then it doesnt matter. You can say what you want but God knows what I mean if I say that he is "Awesome" or "Rad" or "Gnarly."

Yes, these are bad things that happen. But God gave us free will, we can do whatever we want basically. But the ones that choose to use this free will to do the right things...well we will get the reward in the end. Trust me the reward will be worth it.

@oceanclub2 In fact, the word "awesome" is used repeatedly to ascribe to God his worthiness, glory and majesty in the Bible (NIV and NASB), unless you are KJV-only, in which case words like "terrible", "fearful", "dreadful" etc. are used in its place. The word "awesome" was used uniquely to describe God and his characteristics long before it was hijacked into the American lexicon to mean the same kind of thing as those other words you mentioned.

skogglezrepz --- LOL, it's so funny that you say that. I envision us all in Heaven singing this song and GOD just smiling. Rich would be leading us and we would all be singing our hearts out, including the angels. It's an everlasting concert glorifying GOD.

@BrendanIsCool. As a physician, science is an important part of my daily life. We have both seen horrors of war brought by man. I had the same beliefs as you until I realized my ability to help a trauma victim or the less fortunate comes from God.
