Ciro Antinozzi plays some extract from his tecnique
based on Ollie Halsall influence, you can see phrases are mostly on two or three adjoined boxes. When you have fusion or blues situations you can equivocate the major with the minor mode and the diminished scale would be help you to do it.

  • Good notes but not the sound for me. can you do it on a cleaner sound. Trouble is with this sound you sound like shreders. great playing anyway!

  • I agree with you for that terrible sound, I'm an old guitar player and love the sound you had seen on sg in other video.

But you can read the comment of hamwinkie and here find the fact that the sound is an opinion.

  • the box is a Hughes and Kettner tubefactor...red light on

  • I disagree with the viewer who saw Ollie live. I saw him with Patto and for me his records never really did him justice. One gig I saw in Watford was probably one of the best I have ever been to and it was down to his playing which lifted Patto from what would probably have been an ordinaryish band to performances like this that could be quite extraordinary. He really was one of the top guitarists and I am amazed that he doesn't even make the 100 best guitarists of all time lists!

  • I saw Ollie live almost 40 years ago with Patto. Although I thought very highly of his playing, the live experience didn't work for me. All his solos were well played, but with a very blurred, indistinct, and over-raucous sound that didn't suit his style.; he also seemed ill-at-ease throughout the gig. On record he was sublime. This seems to be a common aspect of so many great guitarists.

  • My point is that Ollie didnt use pedals just an overdriven amp so although the notes may be similar the overall sound is not, and the clip is called Ollie Halsall. Would love to hear with cleaner sound. Is it possible?

  • Beautiful legato! Up there with holdsworth IMO!

  • great style but pla works on ur bends mate!!1 I love your feel tho!! Great!! where are the tabs to t his brother?

  • I love the sound! What is a "box" though? Got me stumped on that one. Peace
