Venetian Plaster is a finishing technique using thin layers of plaster applied with a spatula or trowel and then burnished to create a smooth surface with the illusion of depth and texture. "Venetian Plaster is an American-made term to explain the variety of different techniques and materials used to create the polished stucco finish.

  • Can this be applied to an already painted wall or does one need to strip off the paint?

  • It can be applied over a clean, sound wall. For best results it should be a low sheen acrylic. If it is a semi or glossy acrylic finish it should be scuff sanded prior to application. If it is an oil it should be primed first.

  • Can you use wax for polish? Insted of the sand paper

    You can use a neutral past wax to seal our Venetian Plaster. Do not use any automotive or carnuba waxes as they will have a negative affect on the finish.
