The theme written for "V The Final Battle" by Barry De Vorzon in 1984, which doesn't appear on Dennis McCarthy's soundtrack CD. Usually rendered poorly, here it is digitally cleaned up in HD.

shame that it wasnt released for nothing but the actual theme used in the final battle was done by barry DeVorzon and Joe Conlan

there was a cd of final battle by t Dennis McCarthy but he didnt do this theme who is not on cd

The miniseries was awesome, but the series was a flop, & I don't like this new V as the old saying goes often imitated but never duplicated

Although the actual version from the original mini-series has never been released officially on any album there is a somewhat decent remake on Itunes that was recorded by The Cathodic Orchestra. It is entitled "V (Theme)" and is available for $.99. It is a cover version of this specific theme song, but as I mentioned it's not the original. The differences are noticeable, but if you're looking to download a version that does the song justice I'd say go with that one. Or just download this one!
