@RememberSobibor -- He offered to serve in Afghanistan because he believed the action there was justified. He is not anti-war; he is anti-Iraq War.

There is only one way to conduct yourself in this world They are absolute even when doing what is right may bring embarrassment or bad publicity to your unit or the service or to you. Even when doing what is right may require sacrificing personal allegiances and friendships for personal honor. In every aspect of your life. You must always maintain the courage of your convictions ...doing this involves traveling a difficult and lonely road. - Sec. of Defense Robert Gates

To hell with this joke of a war. Mr. Watada saw that this war was a cooked up story and he did the right thing. It's easy to compare this war to vietnam. Anybody who fails to recognize this I hate to say you are living in a dream world and are failing to see the big picture. And it angers me that our soldiers r dying for these web of lies. And on top of everything else alot of them who come back wounded have to fight tooth and nail to get the benefits they so rightfully earned.

firstly you can't refuse orders unless the orders break the law of war or rules of ingagment.secondly in ww1-ww2 if you refused any orders you would be shot but alot has changed sence then.

i love how soldiers are always being called cowards by people that have never fought a war or by the politcans witch are the really cowards you will never see them on the battle filed in your lives.

the only people that are noble are the workers and soldiers themselfs, but there the ones working for them

I am glad I make you sick because US foriegn policy makes me sick and you are a spear head of it . The US has been running round the world protecting its monetary interests under the guise of liberators for 50 years proping up and arming dictators and facists if you went through nearly every conflict you would find an American hand in it.The death toll is unimaginalble one scholar reckoned 50 million deaths could be atributed to them from the so called drug wars in south America to Vietnam etc.

you think you know so much yet you know nothing try actually doin somethin with your pathetic life and quit taking other peoples information as 100% fact. Oil ? kuwait has the oil. in 15 months in iraq i did not see ONE well. Your afraid but you dont want to look bad so you use the " this war is unjust" cloak to make yourself look noble when in fact you havent done shit in your life ,your worthless

yeh its hard to defend your position isn`t it thats why you resort to the same old tactic and thats to attack me personaly . You no nothing of what I have done so don`t even presume anything . OH by the way you should have seen the oil fields it was the first position secured during the invasion and Kuwait produces 2.6 million gallons of oil a day Iraq 2.1 go figure but Iraq has greater potential for uping production and exploration . It was not only about oil .

That a typical American attitude the laws that apply to everyone else in the world do not apply to you . Yeh keep thinking your out there to help the women and children . I tell you what would help them stealth bombers flying over head and bombing them oh right they are laser guided and only kill soldiers . It an established fact that only fifty percent hit their targets and were fired into civillian population but then thtats exceptable because the hero Americans are liberating their oil .
