Your brain is a very least a feedback loop, signals cause neurotransmitter release causes signals. now something like SSRI are pure evil, because they affect homoeostatic, basically 24/7 on MDMA or Extacy, also up and down regulation which can take many months or years for your brain to recover, just like opiate addiction etc.... Talk is free and cognitive therapies work wonderfully, though I would say that cheep, safe, one hit wonder Ketamine: a life saver on odd occasions. Food is a drug.

Although Breggin speaks the truth about psychiatry he overstates his faith in psychology. Psychology is another useless field that is as useful as a weekly horoscope or talking to a very patient friend. You can view my profile and videos for more details and advice. I have also provided an excellent bibliography of suggested books.

@BNNYWVH1 Jesus isn't going to solve anything. Be real for once.

At first I thought the host was playing devil's advocate, but its clear she is in agreement with the medical community on this, which should not be a shock to anyone considering who her employer is. Also, I don't think the good Dr. is not emphasizing nutrition enough. The amount of garbage that can be found in these processed foods has to be wreaking havoc on our brains as well.
Absolutely right on target! Thanks for standing up on behalf of those who can't or won't.
